“This is quite simply one of my three favorite books of all time. Beautiful prose, fantastic story, rich characters. LOVE is not too strong a word. If this book were a person I would love it.”Girolmo wrote this review Friday, July 27, 2007. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Stardust was originally designed as a graphic novel and the lack of images hurts the story a big and makes it seem overly simplistic at times. It reads more like a drawn-out fairy tale and something is clearly lost in this version given the void left by the loss of pictures. Still, it's a good story and an entertaining read for any Gaiman fan.”rOckY wrote this review Thursday, July 26, 2007. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“This was my first time reading a book by Gaiman. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It took me no time at all to finish this book. The words just flowed and I couldn't stop turning the pages. I really enjoyed the world that Gaiman created. It was a great fantasy from beginning to end. The characters were wonderful. The only thing I do have to complain about is that some relationships were not as developed as I thought they could be. But all in all, a fantastic read.
“A fairytale in the best Gaiman style, this illustrated version of Stardust could be a children's book - except that it doesn't matter how old you are, you'll still be excited about following Tristran's adventures in this magical world outside of Wall.”nmezza wrote this review Thursday, July 12, 2007. “This book is great! Toted as a "fairy tale for adults," it lives up to its name. I couldn't put it down and finished it in about four hours. I felt like a kid again, like I should be curled up in front of a fire at the feet of a grandmother-type person as she recounted the tales of her youth. Pure magic. ”k8eg8r wrote this review Thursday, July 5, 2007. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
