“not as good as I thought it would be at all. It could have ended differently or something. Wasn't thrilled with it at all.”Ashley Barnett wrote this review Wednesday, May 8, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“For me, this was a very weak ending to the series. The whole first half seemed unnecessarily stretched out. Nora's still annoying, Patch is still awesome, no surprises there. *Spoilers ahead* The revelation about Vee wasn't surprising. I still don't understand how Patch possessing Rixon freed him from hell. My understanding was that it was more of a mental detachment from your own body into another's. Not that you could transport your physical body by possessing someone else's and moving. By that logic, shouldn't Nora have stabbed herself as well as Dante?
And alas, poor Scott. Someone had to go. It's an unfortunately ploy that authors use to surprise and/or show the reader that no one is safe when in fact, they almost always choose the most expendable but well liked character.
I was hoping Finale would be far better than it was. ”

“I loved this book so much! I can't believe that this is the last book in the series. I enjoyed the ending so much. I'm going to miss reading more about Nora and Patch but the ending fit them perfectly. There was a part in the book where everything looked like it was all going to the dogs and I was shouting at the book. It is that good. If you have never read any of this series I would definately recommend that you start with Hush Hush and give it a try. :)”Pendragon2601 wrote this review Thursday, May 2, 2013. “I loved the ending. It was a major shocker but you kinda figure it out during the middle area. Still loved it. ”Star Williams wrote this review Tuesday, April 2, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“This is the 4th and final installment of the Hush Hush series; a paranormal story that has finally led us to an impending war between Nephilim and Fallen Angels - not where I expected the series to go, when I started the first book.
I was really looking forward to reading the conclusion to Nora & Patch's story. But as much as I wanted to read it and find out whether the couple would ever get their happy ending, it took me a month to get through it.
Honestly I think the reason it took me so long was because I was totally dreading the impending doom that I knew was inevitably coming, leaving an uneasy knot in my stomach every time I picked it up to read. Don't get me wrong, I love a bit of drama, but it just seemed to be disaster, after bad thing, after stupidity on Nora's behalf, after disaster!
It wasn't until I got to about Chapter 30 that I didn't want to put it down. Everything came together, and the characters got a great ending, but I'm not sure all the drama was really necessary. I mean, it was, but did the author really need to stress me out and draw it all out so much?
Patch is one of those fictional heroes who's going to melt your heart. He is a bad ass but utterly and equivocally in love with Nora...
This was a quote that stuck with me...
Patch to Nora:
"I saw you, and wanted to be close to you. I wanted you to let me in. I wanted to know you in a way no one else did. I wanted you, all of you. That wanting nearly drove me mad." Pg 354 *sighs dreamily*
Nora makes some really frustrating and stupid decisions that p'ed me off. I literally put the book down and walked away for a breather, I was that annoyed and disappointed with the character!
In the end I was quite pleased with the ending. The final chapter was good but I would have loved a bit more info, a bit of an insight into the aftermath of the final event. The epilogue was a bit too quick for my liking too. It could have been dragged out a little longer with alot more detail as it seemed to be wrapped up way too quickly, especially as the author spent 3/4's of the book building up to the big finale.
So, I definitely recommend the Hush Hush series as a whole. Definitely read the books, one after the other. Patch the bad ass is so worth getting to know! *grins*”
