  • Katy Swartz: The heroine of the novel. Is described to have brown hair and grey eyes, and is curvy with full lips and big eyes. The new girl in town, she prefers the company of books over other people. Is an avid book blogger.
  • Daemon Black: Katy's very attractive neighbour. Dee's twin brother. Has startling green eyes and 'kissable lips'. Is, however, arrogant and snarky
  • Dee Black: Katy's neighbor and best friend, as well as Daemon's twin sister. Is described as beautiful, slim and tall with midnight black hair. Is very friendly and bubbly.
  • Ash Thompson: Daemon's ex-girlfriend. Is pretty with blond hair and electric blue eyes. Is, however, a possessive bitch. She is also a triplet with her two brothers - Adam and Andrew.
  • Adam Thompson: Dee's apparent boyfriend and one of Ash's twin brothers.
  • Andrew Thompson: One of Ash's twin brothers. Is more skeptical and similar to Ash.
  • Matthew Garrison: The biology teacher at PHS. In his late twenties or early thirties. Handsome and stern.
  • Carissa: Katy's friend at PHS. Wears glasses and is more timid.
  • Lesa: Katy's friend in her trig class
  • Dawson Black: Brother of Daemon and Dee. Looks exactly like Daemon.
  • Baruck: Arum, wants to kill Daemon and Katy
  • Sarah Butler: Died the same night Katy was attacked
  • Bethany Williams: Transferred to PHS in the middle of her sophomore year. She struck up a relationship with Dawson and the both disappeared around the start of junior year
  • Sarefeth: Arum
  • Simon Cutters: Athlete, plays football, big strong build. Bad rep with relationships. His mother is a florist, father is a lawyer
  • Kellie Swartz: Katy's mom. Works as a nurse
