“I love Robert Jordan!”

“How I loved this series when Eye of the World hit the stores. Strong female characters, plenty of fighting and magic, and a suitable dash of romantic tension. With that said, I felt that the female characters were ultimately reduced to stereotypes of “sassy,” “defiant” girls instead of being fleshed out into fully complex women. I gave up on this series when Jordan seemed to be dragging it out. After the third book in the series, I got to the point where I felt nothing was being accomplished in the subsequent individual books. Sadly, I turned in my Eye of the World fan card. Well, I'm still a fan of that first book.”

“I tried to read this series when it first came out, but after the 6th or 7th book, I stopped. There were so many characters that I couldn't keep track and I lost interest until now. Now that they are all out, I can read them without forgetting what happened in the last book. I hope I can finish the series this time, and that they are worth the time.”
