“How I loved this series when Eye of the World hit the stores. Strong female characters, plenty of fighting and magic, and a suitable dash of romantic tension. With that said, I felt that the female characters were ultimately reduced to stereotypes of “sassy,” “defiant” girls instead of being fleshed out into fully complex women. I gave up on this series when Jordan seemed to be dragging it out. After the third book in the series, I got to the point where I felt nothing was being accomplished in the subsequent individual books. Sadly, I turned in my Eye of the World fan card. Well, I'm still a fan of that first book.”

opened up a whole new word of reading for me here, and I have read the series three times. With the newest book coming out next month, I get to dip back into my favorite guitly pleasure... The wheel of time series. ”
