“This book was okay. I really wanted to love it, and I had read a lot of reviews before I dove in. But, the plot was just so weak! I couldn't find it!! I was so excited because I love reading fairy tale re-tellings. I had an idea to write one of my own with a few different fairy tales mashed together in one. When I found out this author, Alethea Kontis, had the idea too, i was very interested to see how she managed the mash up. I was so disappointed! It was a, sadly, too much of a mash-up. At first it was fun because you could point out little ones. Then it got boring and stupid...and too much!!! :(
For the characters: overall, they were okay. I liked Sunday even though she was boring. It was interesting because she knew she was a boring person. The frog was okay. I did feel drawn to him like Sunday did.
The love at first sight thing was okay for Sunday and the frog. But, then *SPOILER* she thinks her frog is dead, so she goes and falls for a prince just for the fun of it. Like, she's all, "I’m torn! I love my frog...but, this prince seems so caring." later, (as in three days after meeting the prince) She says those three words…”I love him”. It felt like one of the most unreal thing ever!!!
This was a really fast-paced story. That was nice. I like that type of book.

After all that, I am still curious about the sequel. I thought this book was an easier read to just pick up.
