- Ms. Kira Walker: Sixteen year old survivor of the RM virus working as a medic in the maternity ward.Lives with Nandita, Xochi, and Isolde. She is best friends with Madison and she is Marcus' girlfriend. She vows to cure RM and will do nearly anything to accomplish that goal.
- Marcus Valencio: Kira's significant other, also a medic.
- Sam M.: Partial soldier
- Madison Sato: Kira's adopted sister and best friend, also wife of Haru. Jayden's sister.
- Mr. Haru Sato: Madison's husband. 22 years old
- Jayden Van Rijn: Defense grid soldier and Madison's brother.
- Private Yoon-Ji Bak: Defense grid female soldier, friend of Jayden.
- Xochi Kessler: Friend and housemate of Kira, daughter of Senator Kessler. She is a music lover and a great cook. She hates Senator Kessler.

- Owen Tovar: Lives on the outskirts of civilization with his camel, Dolly. Has a secret agenda.
