When Danny, a young woman who grew up on the streets of London with no memory of her real family, is banished from her gang because she helped handsome rakehell Jeremy Malory steal back the jewels his friend lost in a card game, Danny demands that Jeremy give her a job. She is determined to become respectable in order to fulfill her dream of marrying and starting a family. Intrigued by her beauty and spunk, Jeremy hires Danny as his upstairs maid, although he wants her as his mistress. See how Jeremy's family 'steps in' to help Danny try to become a member of the Malory family. This is a great read.

This book was a surprise all the way around. Most young people fell in love with Jeremy, and I was always in love with his father James. I loved Jeremy's story mainly because I had no expectations. I would definiately love to read more about the Malorys.

A Malory Clan novel that is one of the top on my list. We meet the son of James Malory and his love destiny in this book. If you read 'Gentle Rogue' you would really appreciate this father and son penchant for strong women with male names. A surviving child of a family murder plot, Danny is befriended as a child by a thieving gang of children in London. To prevent her becoming a prostitute, Danny poses as a boy growing up. She becomes a boy in mind, thought, and action.
Caught by Jeremy to do a small misdeed for good. Their paths stay crossed and Jeremy, now a young English gentleman has his hands full with the delightfully different Danny.
