If you have a child that is easily upset by things like loud noises, textures, temperatures, light, sound or that takes time to warm up to new people and experiences even though they're not "shy" you should read this book. Insightful.” see full review » see other reviews » |

It also unexpectedly helped me understand my husband better! Terrific window for better understanding my son's world but I really wanted more tools to help me parent him empathically. Maybe I need a study group for this one.”

As I read through it, I realized, my son is not as sensitive as was illustrated in the book...but I would guess that it would be really helpful to those whose children do have chronic episodes of being highly sensitive. What I liked about it was the solutions the writer developed for parents to guide their children through life and deal with people who don't understand the nuances of highly sensitive people.”
