Well-researched and lovingly written biography of Harper Lee, author of "To Kill A Mockingbird." Ms Lee was a somewhat difficult, reclusive woman, who let very few into her private life. Through discussion with her friends, relatives, college mates, and letters and published accounts, the author has pieced together enough bits for the reader to see where Harper Lee's inspiration came from for writing "To Kill a Mockingbird." Excellent companion reading to the novel.

Harper Lee is such a mystery---even after reading this biography she still remains an enigma. I'm disappointed that she didn't cooperate with this book. Her thoughts and opinions definitely leave a void. I'm still glad I read it though.

My all time favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. I have had this on my "to read" list for awhile. Has anyone read it and can you tell me a little bit about it?
