A beautifully-descriptive tale about the harsh life of a wolf\dog. The story is full of subtle (and not-so-subtle) lessons about life. I've read this book countless times, and each time I do, I can always find some different way to interpret the struggles of White Fang. I would recommend this to...

I am currently on page 103. One of the best written part in the book so far is the part when White Fang ran into a campfire because he didn't know what it was. "He crawled closer to the flame and stuck his little tongue and nose out to reach it." (60) This passage has a significance which gives us clues about White Fang and the new environment. One of the things we can find out is that he has never seen fire before. My favourite character in this book so far was Kiche, who is White Fang's mother. Without her, White Fang wouldn't have survived this long. She was the one who saved him from fights and helped find food. I like this book so far because White Fang keeps on encountering new obstacles and challenges.

This book tells the story of White Fang, a part-dog, mostl-wolf, born in the wild but taken in by humans and domesticated. It is mostly a pretty brutal tale, especially where humans are involved. Most of the animal behaviour seemed to ring true and it is a largely unsentimental tale until the last page.

The book White Fang is about two men are out in the wild of the north. Their dogs disappear as they are lured by a she-wolf and eaten by the pack. They only have three bullets left and Bill, one of the men, uses them to try to save one of their dogs but he misses and is eaten with the dog. The she-wolf mates with a dog, making 'White Fang'. He is trained to be vicious by an Indian called Gray Beaver. Then he is sold to another man. This book is very interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. I would recommend it to people over the age of 11.

One of the best by Jack London. Although, I don't think I've ever read anything by London that I didn't enjoy.

i only read this book because chris mccandless read it. jack london wrote a detailed book on the life of wolves. it seems as though he once lived as a wolf, then a human, or maybe he was both, a were-wolf. an interesting book for people who love to know the inside brain of an animal. as for me, i did not enjoyed reading the book because i'm not an animal lover, not an animal hater either. but i was fascinated on how talented jack london was in writing

I reread this book and "The Call of the Wild" after having read them back in my teen years. I had forgotten the tie-in between these two books but a few paragraphs into this book I suspected where it was going. As with "The Call of the Wild" it is a tough read at some points as White Fang's life is rarely pleasant but he triumphs over adversity and I found the book uplifting.

This book is about a woolf that hard very hard life. His mother died but then people took him. He was teased a lot, he had conflicts with another dogs. Unfortunatly I dont remember everything about this book because I read it long ago, but I could say that White Fang is a very good, and even sad book.

A classic story that tries to enter the mind of a wolf. Jack London did a wonderful job creating a sense of wilderness and the violence of animals and humans.
