Even though the author suggests that we can choose how our life will play out, there is a distinct quality of predestination in the story. The two sets of brothers that are the main characters are not as appealing as some of the minor characters, Lee and Samuel. Other than Cathy (pathologic liar), females characters not prominant in the story line. ”
