The more I read Bourdain, the more I want to meet him to ask more. That's how I'd describe his writing. If you are remotely interested in the intersection of food and travel, you'll like this book.

Some better than others, but largely an entertaining collection of travel stories. Goddammit, I love you Tony!

Looooooove reading Bourdain. Can't get enough of his tell-it-like-it-is style. Glad to hear Gordon Ramsay is a "great guy", as it hides it well for the TV cameras.

As a chef he is a hero to me. He talks the talk and walks the walk. Love his love, cynicism, and awe of the countries he travels

Not for someone who is looking for a repeat of Kitchen Confidential. This book traveled a different path, and what a fun ride! Tony's authentic perspective shared by most Chef's I have known, really rings true to those of us who have slogged through shift after shift on a dinner line, and he takes that attitude around the world. I have never wanted to travel to Vietnam more than after reading this book!

Love to read about Tony's adventures and food. His writing is so relaxed and real I feel like I know him. Very good sense of humor.
