  • Finley Jayne: Interpid heroine of many steampunk adventures. Insanely strong, along with some other abilities because of her father's experiments he performed on himself before he got her mother pregnant. Has two different "personalities" - one dark and one kind.. which she is coming to terms with the both of them merging. Trying to find herself and who she is as a person.
  • Griffin King: Orphaned Duke of Greythorne. He's one of the most popular and rich among the society. Has strange ability to go into and also control the Aether. 18 years old and has an interest in Finley.
  • Sam Morgan: Griffin's best friend. Recently attacked by an automaton and is dealing with the trauma. Starting to accept that he is part machine. Love's Emily.
  • Emily O'Brien: Third part of Griffin's circle. A genious and inventor, an Irish red head. Can speak to machines.
  • Jasper Renn: San Francisco cowboy. In a tight place due to stealing a mysterious machine.
  • Jack Dandy: Ruler of London's shadowy underworld and has an interest in Finley.
  • Mei Xing: Girlfriend of Jasper's.
  • Reno Dalton: Five Point crime lord.
  • Little Hank: Dalton's chief muscle.
  • Nate Renn: Jasper's brother.
  • Nikola Tesla: Famous inventor lecturing in NYC.
  • Thomas Edison: Man with a machine missing.
  • Queen Victoria: Always in the background.
  • Lydia Astor-Prynn: Young lady with designs on Lord Gerythorne.
