The translation recommended by God (Harold Bloom). Wonderful satiric, picaresque adventures; the relationship between the Don and Sancho lives and breathes on the page and sears into the memory. Delightful. It's a classic that goes down easy, folks. Don't miss it.

Dry, allegorical in the extreme, and occasionally witty, but certainly not what I hoped for. I don't think I'm going to finish it. After a hundred pages, I was completely disenthused. The characters in Don Quixote smell too much like humanity and not enough like real people.

I love reading this book! I'm only halfway through, but on the occasion I take the time to read another adventure or two, it always puts a smile on my face. Not only are we entertained by this book in 2008, I'm amazed sometimes after I close it to realize how long it's been around and how many people these rich characters have affected. If you're a fan, visit the Quixote museum in Guanajuato, Mexico! I was just there, and although the book was written by a Spaniard, it really feels sometimes like he unknowingly wrote it for Mexicans.

A great epoch-making book. I adapted it for children which was published by a publisher here in Kolkata. I don't call it Thone Kehote. I call it by its English name - Don Quixote.

I saw movie’s too. It is not just a comic book. We can see like those comic political characters in 21st century! They are not so far out of our life!
