I forgot this was a Novella, So I was Highly upset when it ended after it started. Besides that, I am Not sure if it was my soup that had me sweating or this. Awesome Read, Its Now apart of the Bubble Bath Reads.

I love vampire stories with a good storyline but this one just missed the mark...If you are looking for a short read with a good sex scene, maybe it will do it for you!

A novella that leaves you wanting more. Involves a 1/16 Elve and a vampire pulling together for a cause. Part 1 of the series. my only complaint is that it was too short, left me wanting more.

Taming the Vampire by Chloe Hart
    Blood and Absinthe Book 1
Liz Marlowe is a demon hunter. Without as much Fae in her as others she has fought harder to be good at what she does. But right now they have a big problem in town and it falls on her to get rid of it. Her friend Celia has found a spell that can give Liz what she needs to overpower the creature. Only it requires the help of a vampire….in a rather personal way. She doubts Jack will help her because she just knows he hates her.

Jack Morgan is the handsome vampire around town. He helps the Fae where he can. When Liz propositions him for his help, he is more gladly to help than she realizes. If only she didn’t hate him so much.

Can these two get past their selves enough to help protect Boston? And maybe they’ll see they aren’t quite the enemies they always thought they were. It was a nice easy read and it looks like there is also a book 2 & 3.

Taming the Vampire is a wonderful read.

Liz is every bit the warrior she was bred to be while Jack is the perfect seductive vampire. Both on the hunt for a mysterious creature that has been leaving a trail of bodies in it's wake. Working together is not something either of the main characters want. For starters, Liz hates Jack and when her friend discovers a way to increase Liz's power, more than doubling her strength and giving her the tools she needs to defeat whatever it is that is lurking and killing in the shadows of Boston, she is repulsed. But after facing the demon on her own, and taking beating, Liz admits, she needs the help and goes Jack with an interesting proposal. If they have sex, she can absorb his power and become strong enough to kill the demon.

For a short paranormal romance, this book has spice and striking characters. As expected for this type of book, the pace was quick and never dull. However, as I was reading I felt as if this was a second book rather than a first in the series. The world building was a little weak, not much background was given of the hunters or the vampires and there wasn't much of an explanation given for what Absinthe really even is. Though, lack of world building has actually made me want to know more and I have already acquired book two, Bound by the Vampire. If you like paranormal romance and don't have the time to delve into a full length novel, I would recommend this series. Taming the Vampire was fun, with a new take on the paranormal.

Liz Marlowe is part Green Fae Clan, a very small part, and they are demon hunters. Jack Morgan is a vampire who has teamed up with the Green Fae Clan to destroy rogue demons. Liz is not allowed to kill Jack but they really seem to hate each other ... but there is also incredible chemistry behind that hate. With an unknown evil facing Boston, Liz approaches Jack with a crazy spell to give them an advantage in tracking and killing this evil which puts them very up close and personal, where their true feelings might be harder to hide behind acts of distain.

This was a pretty good short novella. Taming the Vampire is packed full of chemistry, plot and witty verbal attacks. For a novella it hits the mark, 4 stars.

I enjoyed this ebook short story. Liz was tough, hard-core and emotionally vunerable. Her dislike of vampires is understandable, and her need to fight the desire she feels for Jack is a normal reaction for anyone to have. Jack has a hard surface, but is really soft, and open to hurt deep down. I loved the chemistry between the two and Jack and Liz's ability to see past their differences and find love.

Free book to start the series, not too bad, but not too good either. Promising story to unfold, but the first book lacked something.
