The people in this story live in an underground silo and only go out if they are sentenced to death. This is the book that made the news recently after the author had sold many thousands of ebooks on Amazon.com and a major publisher then bought the rights to the paperback and hardback versions, leaving the ebooks with the author.”

Maybe I am just too easily bummed out but (right now at least) I would much rather read a lighter happier story or at least one with a positive ending. I liked that sort of stuff when I was younger. Stories like "The Lottery" were pretty cool and not as soul-crushing as they probably would be today.
Again, it is probably just me.”
“I quite enjoyed this book. In some ways a little derivative, but a nice couple of twists. Maintained some good pace.”
