One of the best books I have read in a long time! Narrated by death, this eloquent, oftentimes poetic telling of a young girl's life during WWII in Germany is heartbreaking, and the some 400 pages fly by. Definately for adults, although tagged as "young adult" fiction.

Great book...confusing beginning, but once you get into it, it is wonderful. Great YA book; but good for all ages!

This book is one of the best books I've read in a while. There are two other historical fiction novels on my shelf that are also powerful reads. COPPER SUN by Sharon Draper and THE ASTONISHING LIFE OF OCTAVIAN NOTHING: THE POX PARTY by M.T. Anderson. I agree with Shaikha a, BOOK THIEF, (and the other two I mentioned) can be enjoyed by both the YA and adult market. I predict BOOK THIEF will become one of the classics. It's that good.
