As good as its word, this book provides a basic overview of cheese. A couple of recipes, a smattering of cheese/wine pairings, a quick note on cheese making and cheese tasting vocabulary. the majority of the book is dedicated to cheeses of note and their region of origin. Mostly stuff you can easily get imported to America.
