“This book is YA Lit at its best...it is beautifully written with thoughtfully crafted adolescent struggles. What sets it apart is Charlie--his voice is so achingly authentic. I believe it is this authenticity with which YAs identify; every student I recommended it to loved this book. There is an ending I didn't see coming, but the twist wasn't forced or put-upon. I sincerely recommend this novel. ”

It exposes the dangers of just sitting back and watching the world pass by, and encourages the reader to do something about their personal tendacies towards wallflowerness. Everyone can relate to this book in some way.”
