If i could talk to the author of this book i would ask what made her fall for the whole brainwashed people and forget what was really important. She hated her family because of how they were when it shouldn't matter how they were but that they are family and there's always hope. She didn't understand the new was but went along with them, i don't get how people could beat each other up just because of their status. The whole situation everyone basically was in made it hard to figure out how to treat other people and how to react to them. It changed everyone's side of viewing people by how there status was in class and their family.
If i could change the end of the story i would probably make it more descriptive. It seemed like she wanted to make her point and once she thought that she did then hurried and ended the book. She could have talked more about what else happened in her life and about her old friends and she only filled the reader in on what is happening now and a couple years from now. Like i said before she could have slowed down a little bit and not hurried the ending as much. It wasn't a bad ending it just seemed like it needed more.

The main message i took from this book was that there are lots of hard times happening all over the world. Lots of people are suffering and have certain strict rules they have to follow. The reason i got this specific message from the story was that there was a whole revolution one main was trying to change all of China. The decisions that were made weren't the best way to deal with all the things that were happening and having effect on all the people. You need to become/exchange different points of views so you can understand what your doing better by trying to change a country or certain place.

The person who told the story was the main character and was writing about her own life. How I interpretated this story was that she really wanted to be normal and fit in but whatever she did it would always back fire. After reading the whole story it was a pretty incredible story considering everything she went through. The story was well written also, and you could understand what was being said. She made it understandable what she went through and you could imagine everything she felt and the stuff that was happening in her life to be able to manage through it all.
