  “Probably one of the best, no-nonsense books for learning about wine I've read - and I've been reading quite a few! This is a good book for the studious wine-drinker rather than the person who is going to relax and have a drink or two a week and want a passing knowledge. I've been using it as a training manual at the wine shop/bistro that I'm managing. If you don't consider yourself quite the "student" of wine, there are other books that are great, and might be a little more entertaining and/or colorful. (Some of Oz Clarke's come to mind.)”
