I think this is my favorite of Hiaasen's novels, although they're all great. This one has his best bad guy, though. He's a lowlife and incompetent man who wants to off his wife, and is too dense to do it right. The scenes where she drugs him and questions him are hilarious. I couldn't read it at work because I kept giggling out loud.
