I love how, in each of these books (I've yet to read the King), the characters and plot sort of sneaks up on you. You are just going along, reading the story, and suddenly you love everything about it without even realizing that you were falling in love!

I sort of knew, and was dreading, how it was going to end when I was at the midway point because at that point in the story, it's how you are meant to feel. But then, of course, you find yourself feeling gradually gladder and...
