One is the mother of a young girl with a heart condition, one is her best friend on the street, and one is a woman with a mysterious past that has just moved to the neighborhood. It takes its time building suspense, but when all the threads come together, it gets quite exciting. However, as much as I enjoyed this book, I probably wouldn't look for anything else by this author. I enjoyed it JUST enough.”

Nobody is who they seem to be in this tale of Callie, a single mom, her young daughter with a heart defect, the ex husband, the crazy neighbor, and Suzy, the true friend who bales Callie out time and time again. or so it seems. Numerous twists and side plots develop, with a few surprises along the way, and I found I couldn't turn the pages fast enough wanting to finish. Well worth it, and the author is one to watch for.”
