“Stunning! Engaging! A surprise ending that will leave you speechless. Callie is a protagonist that is easy to root for, and the story develops masterfully as she is driven by the ultimate force of love for her sick brother, and underneath that a desire to belong and connect with others. Set in a futuristic dystopian society after a spore epidemic wiped out all middle aged people leaving only the young, or Starters, and very old the Enders. This story really reminds me of Unwind by Neal Shusterman, another work of art in the YA world. There is no swearing and very little reference to drugs or sex so it is fine for middle school and up. I really hope there is sequel!!!”BookLicious wrote this review 2 weeks ago. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“This is one of my favorite books now. The idea that older people could rent out teenage bodies was interesting. The story line was very good and the struggle the main character goes through progresses well.”Ashley Green wrote this review Monday, November 18, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? “If you like the book legend by Marie Lu then you will love this book. It it almost just like it. I personally liked both the book very much, it takes you into the where the technology is very advanced and as they described some of it your mind races to paint a picture of it. I gave this book 2 out of 5 stars because it was good but and some points throughout the book I could guess what was going to happen. I would recommend this book to people between the ages of 11-15 because it was easy but not to easy, and I would also recommend this book to girls and boy who like action. But this book is also has some suspense and romance in it. The main characters name it Callie, I could definitely say that her weakness is her little brother Tyler, she will do anything and everything for him.
