Quotes edit see section history

  • “Queen Esther didn't sit back and wait for death to come upon all the Jews; and I won’t sit back and wait for divorce to come upon my marriage. “If I perish, I perish…” but I’m not going out without a fight.”
  • “If I ever want to be released from this fire, I have to allow God to burn off everything that is not like Him. It hurts like Hell but if this will save me from going there, Let it burn!!!”
  • “When we recognize that something we are doing is sin yet we continue to do it, we’re like dogs licking up their own vomit. Sound tasty?”
  • “Confessing a sin may cause shame for a moment, but the freedom we experience from confessing that sin is worth much more than having a false sense of pride.”

Themes & Symbolism edit see section history

  • Til Death Do Us Part...until death we are apart.: In a relationship between a man and wife, the phrase "Til death do us part" symbolizes being committed to each other until death. In a relationship with God, sin is what separates us. The wages of sin is death, so until the death of Christ, we were separated from God. It was Christ's death that paid the price to reconcile us with God. From a man and wife perspective, there are also many old habits we enter into marriage with that may be detrimental to our covenant as man and wife. Until such things are put to death, man and wife are drawn apart in those areas.
