- Nihlen Draven: Nihlen Draven is the hero of the story. He is heir to the throne of Draven. Nihlen is confident and strong after a life of grooming for his future. He's knowledgeable in many areas regarding their world, but also has the mental fortitude to adapt to the new situations surrounding him. He's righteous, as well as a powerful fighter. He highly values doing the right thing.
- Marina Elderol: Marina is the second main character in the story. She lives in the nation bordering Draven, known as Rinh. She's lived a difficult life on the streets, poor and ignored by the masses. She's learned to survive with nothing from day to day though, and that has made her powerful in her own right. She accepts a deal to kidnap Nihlen, and enters the story from there.

Setting & Locations edit
This story takes place in an alternate world. All places are fictional.
- Askrah: Name of the island that holds the nations of Rinh and Draven. The island was also the birthplace of the nation of Askrah, which was both countries combined before they were split in the past.
- Draven: Draven is one of two nations on the island of Askrah. It is a well respected country within the world, powerful and bountiful. The people live well under the rule of the Draven family.
- Rinh: Rinh is the second nation on the island of Askrah. It is a nation living in squalor, the rich taking all they can from the people. The ruling family of Rinh cares little for the people, only their own desires.
