• Michael Glass: Vampire,Eve's fiance and Shane's best friend, owner of the Glass House.He is a talented musician who is often found strumming his guitar.
• Claire Danvers: Morganville Resident and college student, employed by Myrnin, linked to Amelie, the town's founder, Shane's girlfriend, resides at the Glass House on Lot Street. Best friend of Eve. She can see Magnus where others cannot.
• Eve Rosser: Housemate of Claire and her best friend, affianced to Michael Glass, vampire. Has a brother called Jason. Loves the dress as a Goth and bling up her stakes.
• Shane Collins: Claire's boyfriend, Michael's BFF, resident of the Glass house with Claire, Michael and Eve. Son of Frank, notorious vampire hater. He is a bit of a bad boy but has a good heart and good morals.
• Naomi: Amelie's sister. Vampire.
• Myrnin: A semi-crazy vampire friend of Claire's as well as Amelie's, maintains the town's security in his lab, an alchemist by trade. He is Claire's boss and has a penchant for bunny slippers and Bob the spider. It is hinted that he has a romantic interest in Claire.
• Jason Rosser: Eve's brother. Well known throughout Morganville as a psycho. Seems to like that people fear him.
• Magnus: Master Draug. Has an interest in Claire since she is the only one who can really see him.
• Amelie: The Founder and ruler of Morganville, saved Michael Glass from an existence as a ghost, beloved of Michael's grandfather, Sam. She has a certain attraction to Oliver. Has been bitten by the master Draug.
• Lord Oliver: A close frenemy of Amelie's who tolerates Claire and her friends. Owner of the town's coffee shop, Common Ground. Possible romantic interest of Amelies and her second in command.
• Frank Collins: Shane's father. Vampire hater turned vampire and then machine.
• Miranda: Can see the future. Young and always in some sort of trouble.
• Alyssa Collins: Shane's sister. Died in a house fire when he was in high school.
• Richard Morrell: Becomes town mayor after his father passes. Monica's brother.
• Theo Goldman: Vampire and doctor. Values human life.
• Father Joe: Father of the local church.
• Captain Obvious: Leader of a sort-of cult that hates vampires.
• Mr. Danvers: Claire's father. Had to leave town with her mother because of his heart issues.
• Hannah Moses: Police chief. Was in the war. Tough chick.
