“By this point in the trilogy, Christian and Anna are a solid couple. She has peeled away his steely, Dom persona and captured his heart. The steamy, erotic sex that these books are known for has now become redundant to me. To the author's credit, writing about so much S&M sex between the same two people who have so much sex and keep it hot all the while, has to be extremely challenging. Given the enormity of that task, she did a decent job. The story kept me interested enough to continue because there was just enough drama and depth to make me want to see what would happen next. I listened to it on audio and I must say, I didn't enjoy having it narrated by the same female voice all the way thru. This totally ruined the sexy for me. Hearing a female do the voice of Christian Grey, kills the fantasy.”
