She has fiery red hair and pale skin, which immediately sets her apart from the rest of the people aboard Godspeed. The people of Godspeed are wary of her and avoid contact. She is desperate to get out of Godspeed and onto Earth.
- Elder: Captain of Godspeed, in love with Amy. A determined, compassionate young man who struggles to balance leadership and the wishes of the people.
- Orion: The Elder before Elder. In the last book, he was frozen so that the people can judge his fate. He is clever and cunning, though willing to do anything to achieve what he believes is the right thing.
- Doc: One of Orion's followers
- Bartie: One of Elder's old friends. He spearheads the revolution.
