Synopsis: Air Show by celebrity author Treat Williams is a book about a father and daughter flying an airplane together in order to attend an air show. Beautifully illustrated by Robert Neubecker, Air Show is a great book to use to show students the large variety of planes that exist. The book depicts a healthy relationship between a father and daughter. It also shows how special privileges can come to you when you are out having an adventure. In this story, Ellie, the daughter, has the opportunity to be a co-pilot for a stunt pilot and she enthusiastically accepts the challenge.
Themes/Curriculum Connections: Aviation, father/daughter relationship.
Age/Grade Recommendation: Elementary.
