“To be honest, I preferred Divergent more...but I think it was really good for the character development.”

Dauntless no more. Yes, she is dealing with killing Will & the death of her parents, so maybe she has reasons. But come on, why can't she just deal with life and move on instead of weeping and turning into a noodle. And, Four (aka Tobias)was seriously missing for much of the book. How can that be romance without a couple? Plus, the whole reason why Jeanine killed so many innocent people seemed weak and contrived. I read it, I liked it but not as much as Divergent. Maybe book 3 will get me back on board in a big way. One can always hope.”

Divergent (first book) is my favorite book (and i'm an obsessed reader) and this is a FANTASTIC sequel - if you're like me, and you're always scared that the second book will mess up the first, you have NOTHING to fear here. LOVE.
Veronica Roth, you are SUCH an inspiration!!”
“Great continued story and leaves you hanging for the next one”

Now in Candor HQ with the other Dauntless members and Abnegation she suffers another life changing choice and loss which leads her to bust into Erudite hq in order to stop the insurgence but now she's being used as a lab rat only to find out that someone close to Tris is her betrayer. Can she and Tobias escape and defeat Erudite?
Not as developed as I would have liked but the romance was good and Tris's charater development. It doesn't help that I was majorly confused for half of the novel trying to remember half of what happens in Divergent and figuring out who's who. Its ment to be read directly after Divergent without the year delay. I do still wish that the society as a whole was more developed. Needs a reread before the third book because I'm sure it won't have a recap. ”
“Excellent! Can't wait for the next one!”

Just brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.”
“OH. MY. GOSH. What kind of sick person would put such a HUGE twist at the end and then expect you to wait two years for the next sequel? Oh, I know! VERONICA ROTH. I can't believe that she did that! This book is so amazing, it just might be better than Hunger Games. Sorry, Suzanne Collins, but you have met your match. I AM FREAKING OUT HERE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS NEXT WOMAN!!!!!”

Not as good as Divergent - and the pace picked up in the second half. I didn't remember Tris as so whiney and self-absorbed n Divergent.”
