Liora Greyson: Seventeen years old and a senior in high school in Dove Creek, VA. She was born a demion, but lost her powers and is now an ordinary human girl. She is awake only during the day, hates all things demon, and is falling in love with the new guy, Kieron.
Lucky: Liora's "demon-half". She comes alive the moment the sun goes down and Liora falls asleep. She has extraordinary abilities and hangs out in a mystical realm with other demons and creatures of the night.
Corrine Wilson: A normal human girl, she is Liora's one and only friend, and is unaware that Liora is part demon.
Tatiana: Lucky and Liora's guardian. Although completely blind, she is a very powerful witch who has the ability to "see" demonic activity.
Kieron Ambrose: The love interest (and occasional "hate interest") of Lucky and Liora.
Bones: A pure demon, Bones is half incubus, half hellhound. Lucky's best friend and lust object.
“I suppose in a twisted way this all makes sense. It was only a matter of time before I went officially crazy; I’m just surprised it hadn’t happened before now. Maybe I should go talk to the school counselor. Maybe I should go into her little office with the tacky 80’s décor, have a seat on her cracked vinyl couch, and tell her that being a demi-demon who stays up all night drinking, tormenting humans, killing other demons for kicks, and crushing on an incubus-slash-Hound of Hell is really starting to take a toll on my emotional well-being. See if she has any helpful suggestions for me.”
“I saw them. Michael, Kayla, me—my good pals, the Amazèa. I got to relive that day all over again, as if I needed the reminder. Then I got to watch Bones do what he does best. Who needs Pay-per-view when you’ve got the Altrumina acid-trip porno channel? Then I ended up in the Wasteland…you know, the super fun place where demons get banished for eternity? That was a blast and a half. We should plan our next family trip there; the views are something else…”
Whoever says Hell is the worst place imaginable obviously never spent a day at Dove Creek High School. There needs to be an inscription on its front gates reading, “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.”
