  “A standby. Indispensable. I do wish the index worked a little better for me. This book smoothed my path into freelancing, and is probably the most frequent authority I refer to.”

Whatever you call it, it belongs on the bookshelf of anyone who writes, along with its companion University of Chicago reference classic, Strunk and White’s The Elements of Style.”
