She wakes up in a very small town called Blackrock with no idea what she is doing here or even where here is. She sets out in an attempt to regain her memories along the way unearthing some old secrets about the town and herself. ”

Yes | No“There are probably plenty of legitimate complaints that could be made about The Lost Days: it's overly-cynical, the main character often doesn't seem to care about much besides herself (and her cats), it's not really about anything. But such complaints would ignore the fact that this book is just plain fun. The plot (such as it is) is fun. The narrator's voice is fun. The numerous lists throughout the book are fun. The artwork is fun. The story's wholehearted and enthusiastic embrace of its own lack of seriousness is fun.
Good stuff.”
“This book is unique, bizarre, and fun, with interesting illustrations. "Earwig" wakes up on a park bench with amnesia. She doesn't know where she is, how she got there, or anything else, including her name (so she makes up the name "Earwig"). She has a notebook and a pen. The first few pages of the notebook are torn out, and the rest is blank. She starts keeping a journal of her thoughts and observances as she proceeds through the town to find clues as to who she is and why she's there. The town and its occupants are pretty strange. ”

I'm usually not a fan of simplistic books, but this brought out an interesting perspective of someone who knew NOTHING. Which I found hilarious. Anywho, for people who don't like short sentences or pictures, I wouldn't recommend this book, but for excited, obnoxious people, definitely!”
