Ingrid is a thirteen-year old girl who needs help balancing time for soccer, schoolwork, and the lead role in her town’s production of Alice in Wonderland. One day, her mom is late for picking her up for soccer practice so she decides to walk, but she loses her way and gets lost. A mysterious town elder sees Ingrid and allows her to come in her house and calls Ingrid a cab. The following day the town elder is found murdered. Ingrid finds out she had left her favorite red cleats at the elder’s house. Echo Falls gets stranger and stranger, and Ingrid must solve this mystery before it gets too late.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked how the author brought the story Alice in Wonderland into the book. Overall I thought the story was very mysterious. It was fascinating how all the different clues came into one big surprising ending. So if you are looking for a mystery book to read I recommend this book for you.

“Murder Mystery for teens-my kind of murder mystery. Ingrid is the main character and she is in her community theater production of Alice in Wonderland. I've got to see what Peter ABrahams wrote before he went on to young adult. I love Stephen King so this was great that Stephen King wrote the forward.”

Great mystery book though!”
“Very good mystery. Girl doesn't ride the bus home as she was supposed to. Gets lost and the adventure begins from here. She visits a home where a murder is about to take place so she gets right in the middle of the action. ”

'Down the Rabbit Hole' includes a modern Sherlock Holmes who is actually a young girl named Ingrid. When I read this I was immediately pulled into the the excitement and the obvious romance between Ingrid and Joey. Echo Falls is truly a unique city!”
