“This book was HOT HOT HOT!!! WAY hotter than I expected. I will be honest and say that this is one of the HOTTEST books I’ve ever read, BUT, it kept me turning page after page to feel the suspenseful intensity of the story. Roni Loren created some awesome, believable characters and set the scenes to boiling with the romance and bedroom scenes!
I loved the way Roni Loren took Brynn and Reid’s stories and blended them perfectly. Brynn has sexual issues….not that she doesn’t like sex, but she has issues with it, since her mother was raped. Reid stomped on Brynn’s heart more than once, but has issues of his own to overcome…one of them being, proving to Brynn that he never stopped loving her. When Brynn’s sister goes missing, Brynn has to camp out at a BDSM ranch retreat and comes face to face with the horrible reality of her past: crashing face to face with Reid.
Set in the backdrop of an erotic, intense sexual retreat, these two come together in search of Brynn’s sister, exploring their fantasies, and learning to trust once again. But, something goes terribly wrong, and while searching for the truth, these two must fight for their lives, and each other’s trust.
I totally recommend this book to anyone who is looking for the perfect get away into an intensely suspenseful, passion-boiling novel. It’s the first in a new series, and this 4 Book worthy story will not end here! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Ms. Loren’s new fans! But, be forewarned….the boiling scenes of this book will leave you fanning yourself for days after you’re done. WOW. Great work, Ms. Loren!”

“Review courtesy of Dark Faerie Tales
Quick & Dirty: A book exploring a Dom/Sub relationship between two people that have tried everything to deny their natural desires.
Opening Sentence: Don the gas masks and cue the mushroom cloud.
Crash into You is a dark and sensual tale, woven among suspense and decadence meant to lure you into deep and hidden recesses of the human heart. This book exposes forgotten heat and love while competing with the pain and fear of betrayal and abuse. It is most definitely about being true to yourself and having the courage to admit your wants, then the fortitude to act upon it. Brynn LeBreck will do anything for her sister, including going undercover as a sexual submissive in a BDSM retreat known as The Ranch. But what else is she willing to do for love?
Brynn is a caretaker. She cares for her alcoholic mother and flighty sister. Her job as a therapist is stressful and the demands on her time and responsibilities weigh heavy on her shoulders. After meeting Reid the first time, she is introduced to a world where she no longer has to think; only feel. Brynn’s character is everything I think of when I want to describe the typical woman; complex. She is strong and capable and inspires other women to do the same. At the same time, she is scared and scarred by sexual trauma and valiantly tries to come to terms with it on her own. In Brynn’s case, her sexual trauma has affected her sex life. Though she enjoyed being a submissive, she no longer feels safe enough to do so. Each woman has it in them to have many different aspects in their life that they try to not have affect other parts, like professional and personal relationships. We all have the ability to compartmentalize different parts of our lives, but at what cost? How long can Brynn remain happy and healthy while denying those parts of her that need attention? Can she ever truly be happy when she doesn’t understand or accept all the factions within herself?
Reid Jamison is a dark and sexy hunk-of-burning-love. He, too, has tried to deny integral parts of himself in an attempt to be “normal.” But by denying what he truly likes, he winds up in a loveless marriage and a bucket load of regrets. His biggest regret is keeping secrets and losing the only woman he’s ever truly wanted; Brynn. Reid spends the whole book trying to win back the woman he let slip through his fingers so many years ago. Under the pretense of helping her find her sister, Reid arranges for Brynn to enter as a submissive in an exclusive BDSM compound. Little does she realize that he plans to be the only Dom that gets to sample her goods unless with his express consent. Hotness ensues and the two of them set the pages on fire!
While the story’s main focus is on the relationship between Brynn and Reid, they do have some heart-stopping tension and suspense to add to it. Brynn’s sister has new information about the murder of their mother, but goes missing before giving it over to the one lawyer she trusts, Reid. During their search, Brynn and her ex find not only the man who they are looking for, but also run into the man that raped and beat Brynn so many years ago. Can they find a way to exact justice without losing each other in the process?
I liked this book for its simple message: There is no shame in doing things with love when both adults are consenting. There is no “normal,” no matter what pressures there are to make it so. This book is both tasteful and sensual, emphasizing being true to your heart’s desires. The bedroom (and other areas) scenes are nice, too!
“Oh.” She’d only been asking for a kiss, but the new suggestion sent a shot of lust-laced adrenaline through her vitals. She glanced at the empty hallway over his shoulder. “There aren’t hidden security cameras around, are there?”
“Nope.” He dragged his greedy gaze over her chest, and her nipples tightened under the perusal, her whole body going achy with want. “Grab the edges of the shelf above your head and don’t let go. I’ll show you exactly how much I missed you.”
She stretched her arms above her and wrapped her fingers around the cool metal, her heart hammering against here tonight?”
“Nope.” He set her on her feet, giving her a dark smile, and shoved her skirt to her waist. “Want me to stop?”
His fingers trailed up her inner thigh, sending hot and tingly desire steamrolling over any lingering worries. She shook her head. “God, no.”
“Good.” The backs of his knuckles brushed against the cotton of her panties. “Because I don’t know if I could make it through a whole meal knowing how hot and wet you are under these already.”
She wriggled against his touch, seeking more, needing all of him. Now. “Well, whose fault is that?”
“You’re sassy tonight.” His hand slid beneath the band of her underwear dragging heated fingers over her slick tissues and the throbbing bundle of nerves. “Guess I need to remind you who’s in charge.”
FTC Advisory: Penguin/Berkley Heat graciously provided me with a copy of Crash Into You. No goody bags, sponsorships, “material connections,” or bribes were exchanged for my review. The only payment received came in the form of hugs and kisses from my little boys.”

“Can we say INTENSE! Crash Into You will make readers laugh, cry, and blush all in one sitting. The story is a naughty and exhilarating adventure of love, betrayal, and submission. I was captivated from the start. As my first BDSM novel I was leery about what I was getting myself into. I can honestly say that this was an experience that I never anticipated, but while it was promiscuous it also captures and intense and romantic love story. The mystery side of the novel offers yet another interesting side story that will keep readers turning the pages. Brynn and Reid are very unique characters, and both have a variety of baggage. The two character are obviously puzzle pieces to the same puzzle, but stubborn resist holds them at bay for the majority of this story. The story has readers jumping in feet first, only to have alternating chapters that will display their history that has been building through their past. It was not awkward display and tied in nicely, but it does leave the readers with questions about the direction of the story in the beginning. I loved this story, and I am anxious to give book two a try. Especially, to see more of the beloved Jace….. ”Book Whisperer wrote this review Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Where do I start!??! Maybe the hot cover? No that's a given. I should mention though that when I saw this book had quotes from some of my favorite authors (ie Shayla Black, Lorelei James and Jo Davis) I knew it had to be awesome. I mean, those ladies write amazing books, so if they something is that good then it has to be, right??
Well, this book delivered! Roni Loren can definitely write a great story with characters I cared for and was rooting for. Lets start with the fact that they were lovers in the past. They were in love and people got in the way of their happiness then. Fast forward ten years and their lives collide again and they have to help each other. The passion and the feelings all come rushing back.
I loved the "Then" and "Now" parts of the book. I love books that do that because it slowly builds up their present while you learn in small doses about what happened to them before. And what a story these two had.
First of all, rich boy, now lawyer, Reid Jamison is hot as sin! He also has skeletons in his closet, being the son of a rapist and a sadist. He had to fight with his desires for a BDSM relationship while trying not to become his father. Brynn was the girl to give him everything he wanted. He loved her, body, mind and soul. Until she left him, for reasons that we know find out.
Brynn also comes from a terrible background, her mother being an "easy" woman and that was a reputation she had to fight against while then raising her sister by herself. Being with Reid the way he wanted made her feel a bit like walking in her mothers' shoes, but it wasn't like that between them. Just maybe what others saw. And then came that one night that ruined their lives for years to come.
Now her sister ends up at a BDSM couples retreat getaway as a training submissive and Brynn has to go rescue her. Having to infiltrate that world again and having to submit to a stranger. Except that Reid has no plans of letting her do this alone and goes in as her Dom.
This book is hot but also emotional, with a great storyline! I can't wait to read the next one!!

“What really worked: CRASH INTO YOU was a fantastic murder mystery/romantic suspense, and I was quickly pulled in. Brynn is searching for the truth behind her sister's disappearance, while Reid is searching for the truth behind Brynn's mother's murder. On their heels is a nasty villain somehow tied to both. It was exciting to see how all the pieces fit.
I enjoyed how the story was put together. For about 3/4 of the book, the chapters alternated between "Now" and "Then," so Reid and Brynn's backstory was revealed a little at a time. I know some readers did not like the timeline set up this way, but it worked for me.
What worked: I liked the strong chemistry between Reid and Brynn. Even with the bad blood between them, the sparks were always there. There was a lot of depth and emotion to both main characters, both battling demons from their pasts.
What didn't work: I think there were ways Brynn could have avoided going to the BDSM retreat. (She had a contact who knew the club's owner and a contact on the police force.) I'm not sure I believe she wanted to go there as a type of therapy to get over a horrific event from her past, especially since she thought she would be paired with a stranger. I also wish Reid and Brynn would have had more one-on-one play time at the retreat.
Final Thoughts: CRASH INTO YOU is an exciting debut novel from Roni Loren and the beginning of her Loving on the Edge series. I'd recommend it to readers who don't mind their romantic suspense with a little light kink and a whole lot of hot sex (including a menage). I give it 3.75 stars! ”
“Crash Into You by Roni Loren
Contemporary Romance - Jan. 3rd, 2012
4 ½ stars
When sexy lawyer Reid Jamison is asked to do some pro bono work for a Women’s Crisis Center in exchange for cheap rent, he jumps at the chance. That is until he realizes that one of the workers he had a serious relationship in the past still lights his fire. And he wants Brynn again….
Brynn is tired of dead end dates. But Brynn is constantly worried about her sister, Kelsey who feels responsible for a man falsely accused of murder. When Brynn visits her sister’s place to find her, instead she finds herself accosted. Brynn was raped before and fights heroically but the inebriated stranger overcomes her. Thankfully she is saved by Reid. He is working on a case with Kelsey to prove a man’s innocence. He tells Brynn that her sister is probably at an exclusive retreat that caters to BDSM, mostly likely to find the truth and free an innocent man. Brynn immediately wants to find Kelsey and bring her to safety. When her sister suddenly goes missing and is targeted, Byrnn knows she has to find her but the only person who can help her is Reid - the man from her past who haunts her dreams. Can she really open herself up again to save her sister by entering the retreat? And what happens when Reid’s wild side actually turns her on?
I like that this book explores the past and present relationship between Reid and Brynn. The author is not afraid to delve into their history and let us peel into what makes them tick. Reid is afraid of his need for dominance. Brynn is afraid of her past when her mother was abused and she was raped. Brynn’s courage and willingness to help others make her a worthy and sympathetic heroine Although this is a erotic book, the author takes the time to reveal each character before she has them hop into bed, which definitely gave the story more sexual tension and depth. This book is sizzling hot and also includes a MMF scene. Their past which includes Reid insecurities about his real sexual needs and his family’s interference in his life and Brynn’s unstable mother also add to the story’a complexity.
However, while I liked that the author goes into the past to reveal how Brynn and Red met and why their relationship failed, after a certain point I wished the story would stay in the present because it became a bit disruptive to the storyline.
Two lovers with a past who finally find love together is heartwarming and HOT!
