However a follow up study of the companies listed showed half of them were struggling just 10 years later. So beware the people bearing the magic silver bullet they obtained for the most current successful company. The only constant is change.”

I can't say I agree with all of it, and some of the companies are gone, some went bankrupt, etc. All illustrating that no one can keep up with creative destruction, nor would I want them to be able to. The idea that companies are "built to last" is the ideology of communism, not capitalism.
All that said, this is probably a must read, as it does contain eight basic principles that are hard to argue with.”
