A management book classic, which also created the genre of pop business books. I can't say I agree with all of it, and some of the companies are gone, some went bankrupt, etc. All illustrating that no one can keep up with creative destruction, nor would I want them to be able to. The idea that companies are "built to last" is the ideology of communism, not capitalism.

All that said, this is probably a must read, as it does contain eight basic principles that are hard to argue with.
