A wonderful book that concentrates women's history of the world. I especially found the chapter on religion quite interesting. My only two complaints about this book are: why is it only 200 some pages when it's suppose to talk about women's history? i mean, even U.S.' history books are much bigger than that and women have a longer history than the U.S.; being the history of women AROUND the world, why does the majority of the book concentrate on European women?

This is a history of women. How they came to be considered second class citizens and why. I didn't finish it as I found it boring and extremely difficult to follow. Some of the stories were interesting - enjoyed the bit about nurse Nightengale.
