It is a modern New York twist of Romeo and Juliet, except the two gangs are the Sharks and the Jets. The sharks are a Puertorican gang who dispises the Jets, an all American New York gang. In the end, love and jealously takes over and someone gets shot and dies. I personally recommend this book to people who love an American classic. I like watching the play and movie better than reading the book, but I did enjoy reading it.”

It is very similar to Romeo and Juliet with a NYC modern twist.
This is my #1 most favorite book.”
