“Oh my! For an intense read this is an awesome book. The book is told from both Gabriel and Julianne's POV so we get, as readers, to know both of them, even better than they know each other. The poet plays a large part in the book and the author obviously did his, yes I said his, research. Julianne is a grad student, working on her master's; Gabriel is a prof with a seminar class on Dante.
She knows him from hears ago as his sister is her best friend. He doesn't recognize her-he being 10 years older, but she vividly remembers one night when she became his Beatrice. Once Gabriel realizes who she is he pursues her--against all college policy. The love story is written so well that I could not put it down----I had to go right to the next book to see how the true HEA happens.”
