  • Natalie Stewart: Main character. As a mute, she has lived in an institution before coming back home to her father. Due to her father's employment with the Met, she meets Mrs. Northe, the owner of a famous painting of Lord Denbury. Natalie is instantly drawn to the painting of Lord Denbury. Her curiosity gets the better of her when she is literally captivated by the painting and meets the Lord himself.
  • Jonathan Denbury: The main protagonist. He is cursed inside a portrait of himself; unaware of the time or days that go by. He is instantly drawn to Natalie and falls for her.
  • Mrs. Northe: Natalie's surrogate mother who dabbles in the supernatural and the paranormal. She helps Natalie break Denbury's curse.
  • Maggie: Mrs. Northe's niece, and Natalie's new best friend. She is spontaneous and interested in the paranormal activities that her aunt practices.
  • Jonathon: A very handsome and charismatic young man, who wants to be a doctor.
  • Cecilia: A young girl who loves to gossip and makes friends with Natalie
