The collection itself is of course a classic, although unfortunately there remains to be a decent translation of it in English. The only current translation has a lot of interpolations into the text, based on only one particular interpretation of the meanings, whereas there have been many commentaries over the centuries. See for example the commentary I list on my www.librarything.com listing. Muhammad Asad has also produced a partial translation in one volume from this collection.
