Characters/People edit see section history

  • Jimmy Woolf: Morgan's best friend. Dancer, Fred Astaire aficionado, and children's theatre performer. Longs to do Oklahoma!
  • Morgan Hackett: Shy and acerbic. Takes acting lessons, but never really seems as into that sort of thing as Jimmy.
  • Aunt Loey: Dr. Hackett. Morgan's psychiatrist aunt. Works at an unspecified Chicago hospital. Seems to live somewhere in the whereabouts of Lincoln Park, maybe. Smokes, though she refers to quiting once or twice. Very close to her niece.
  • Mrs. Getz: Nurse who works with Loey Hackett. Not really a major character of any kind.
  • Jody: Friend of Morgan. Seemingly Morgan's only friend aside from Jimmy...and a distant one at that. Minor character.
  • Mrs. Klein: Morgan's English teacher. Minor character.
  • Mrs. Rassin: Loey Hackett's houskeeper. Minor character.
