I disagree with the classification of this book as the fourth in the Sally Lockhart quartet as she is a minor participant, but despite this qualm, The Tin Princess is a captivating tale which plausibly picks up on Adelaide's story -- the little girl lost in Ruby in the Smoke.

This was kind of a spin off of the Sally Lockhart trilogy. I didn't like this one too much because it was the focus of Jim's annoying infatuation with a woman he once knew as a child. His personality just poured too much objectivity with the opposite sex. Though there is mystery, I just didn't...

I happened on this book by chance so I haven't read any else by this author. I thought it was a good read with an interesting story. I'll be sure to check out the rest in the series.

Jim gets the spotlight in this Sally Lockhart Mystery, along with Becky and Adelaide (but we still get a few glimpses of Sally).
I raced through the pages, yet the ending seemed a little rushed.

    Still a good book, though.

Worst of the series. All the mystery and suspense of the other books is lacking, I found the plot quite unbelievable and the love story quite stupid.

Not as good as The Ruby in the Smoke, but good entertainment.

It had a decent, if overdone, premise, but the ending was extremely disappointing. It had some potential but didn't live up to it at all!
