It has Robots, Time-Travel, and lovable dogs, which may seem like a strange combo, yet Simak writes with such precise skill, that one is left thinking that the story could have been no other way. It is sheer perfection. I highly recommend this book to any lover of books, especially those in love with science fiction. The book resonates inside you for the rest of your mammalian life. I intend to read it yet again and hunt down his other books as a result of my love of this particular novel. I read it years ago, and yet this book remains close to my heart. ”
