• Judith is at the end of her dream, her father has decided to take her out of the convent where she could have spent her life away from the world of dominering men at least with freedom of them ruling over life. Her mother has warned her that men are only good for one thing abuse. She must marry this Mongomery man and does not realize that her heart is in danger. She doesnt even know what he looks like but her fathers lands are within Gavins and her father is determined to have his way in the situation, after all women are only commodities to be used for a mans desires and wealth attainment.

  Gavin must marry his king is determined to have his subject married off and Gavins sweet heart Alice who has decided to marry an Earl, Gavin has no position ownership of his lands. and has eyes only for Alice untill his wedding day and looks intothe golden eyes of the lovely Judith. They are both pleasantly surprised with their new spouses but the joy is to be short lived as the deceptive and lovely Alice gets herself invited to the wedding and causes all sorts of trouble. She is determined to have Gavin to herself and is insanely jealous of Judith.

  Gavin and Judith work through their problems one by one. Gavin realizes that Judith has been abused by men and is appaled at her fathers public treatment of his new bride and after planting a fist in her fathers face. Finds himself brought to violent maddness at Judiths response to Gavins proclamation to Alices threat to end her life if he falls in love with his new bride. As Gavin tries to juggle an old flame with a new bride he is puzzled why others find his old flame such a evil among them and cannot believe friends or family that this love of his is nothing but a trouble maker and is not truly in love with him.
  until he finds out for himself that she is not what she has proclaimed all along.
