Jesus, the One and Only

by Beth Moore, Dale McCleskey

In her previous books, Beth Moore has introduced her readers to David and Paul. In Jesus, the One and Only, Beth introduces them to an intimate Savior as they get a close-up and personal portrait of the life of Jesus the Messiah.
But this is far more than just a work on the life of Christ. As He has done in the past, God uses Beth's words to woo the reader into a romance with the One and... (read more)

I lead a small, internet-based, reading & discussion group. We choose Beth Moore's book "Jesus the One & Only" as our 3rd book read-along. With the books we've read in the past, I have had to read ahead of the group so that I could come up with pertinent questions for discussion. By using this Leader Guide, I can read the weekly assignments at the same time as the others in the group and all the questions are prepared for me. So much easier! Well worth the money!

Beth Moore is a gifted, astute author. Jesus, the One and Only is a wonderful piece of work that rapidly becomes a journey of the heart for any believer. Ms. Moore's style encourages readers to use their imaginations as she paints verbal murals that dance in one's mind. She writes with clarity and humor. Her books are not quick reads because one wants to digest the feast slowly. There is much to be gained by reading anything written by Beth Moore. Tremendous...like fertilizer for faith!

For anyone who is serious about becoming a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, this heart felt study of the gospel of Luke is an excellent place to start. A fulcrum for any personal Christian library, this easy to follow format provides a reusable outline for study of the other three gospels. The one thing that sets this book apart, I believe, is the wonderful insight into the reality of Jesus' day to day life, offered my Ms. Moore. It is as if she is really there, walking with the Master. Her radiant love for our Lord is overwhelmingly evident in her words. May we all learn to love Jesus in such a way and know Him as personaly as this author obviously does.
What a wonderful gift!

I don't normally share my opinions with the general public, but this book has moved me to do so.

I was raised under the rather misguided impression that Jesus was a very solemn and quiet person. One who at times, tended to do quite a bit of chastising to His flock. Beth Moore's gift of speaking and writing is amazing. She does an exceptional job of portraying what a kind, loving, and JOYFUL person he was. My eyes were opened to a whole new (and joyful!) way of looking at Jesus and the Bible (and the New Testament specifically)!

I found her book through a bible study class offered through my new church and I would HIGHLY recommend getting her CD (or DVD if it is offered) of this study because she has a phenomenal way of helping you to visualize the life Jesus led and the world He lived in.

I loved the book and the study so much that I am now looking for other books that she has written.
